Lux Laundry FAQ and Policies

Q: How do I become a Lux Laundry Member?
A: To join our wash/dry laundry service you must become a member by signing up online by clicking "Become a Lux Member" or e-mailing laundry_br@yahoo.com.

Q: Why do I have to pay in advance to become a wash/dry laundry member?
A: We request that our wash/dry laundry customers pay in advance because we must keep track of your current location. Also, up-front prepaid packages make it much easier for you because you don’t have to worry about paying bills! Once you join, there is nothing else to do except receive weekly delivery of fresh clothes!

Q: How do I get my laundry bag?
A: Once your membership has been confirmed, a First Class Laundry bag will be dropped off at your door before services begin.

Q: What does the Lux Laundry service include?
A:We pick-up and deliver the laundry at your convenience. Your laundry is then cleaned, dried and neatly folded by a Lux Laundry representative. Multiple steps are taken to ensure the best care for your clothes.

Step 1: Clothes are separated by whites, lights, and darks.
Step 2: Professional grade and neutral scent detergent is used.
Step 3: Clothes are then dried using fresh dryer sheets.
Step 4: Clothes are neatly folded and placed in your FREE First Lux Laundry bag.

Q: How do I pay?
A: You can pay by cash, check or credit card (Via Google Checkout). Make checks payable to our owner:  Danielle Stanton.


Q:  What areas does Lux Laundry cover?

A:  We currently cover Baton Rouge and the closely surrounding areas.  Phoenix, AZ location Opening May 2008. If you would like to know if we cover the area that you live/work in, please email us at laundry_br@yahoo.com.

Q: What happens if my laundry is damaged (i.e. colors bleed, an article is missing, clothes shrink etc.)
A: Clothes will undergo normal wear that you expect when clothes are washed. We use high quality detergent and clothes are handled carefully to avoid any problems. In the event that your laundry has been damaged or lost while in our possession, you will be promptly reimbursed if it cannot be repaired or located.

Q: Do I have to be a member of the wash/dry laundry service to use the dry cleaning service?
A: No.  You can become a pay-by-pound client.  The rates are listed on our "Pricing" page.  If you plan to be a regular client, it is much cheaper to become a Lux Member!

Q: How do I arrange to have my laundry picked up and delivered?
A: A Lux Laundry associate will contact you to schedule a time that fits into your schedule best. You can easily contact a Lux Laundry official via email to set up a time that works the best for you.

Q: What if there is no time that is convenient for me?
A: Our goal is to make your life easier, and I can promise you that Lux Laundry will do all that it can to come to an agreement with you. If you skip a pick up or do not schedule one, there is no return policy within the scheduled agreement.

Q: What if I need my laundry the next day?
A: Laundry that is done with a contract is delivered two days after it is picked up. Due to the volume of business, our representatives need that time to properly process your laundry. If you have a rush order, the laundry can be done within the desired time slot, but an extra charge will be placed on to the rush order. ($15 fee)
